Kitchen River Benches

The oak logs were obtained from a tree in Zelienople PA that was threatening to fall on a house. A professional tree service took the tree down and left us the trunk. The logs were taken to our sawmill and cut into slabs. Several were quartersawn.

The slabs were flattened using our router surfacer. We utilize traditional woodworking joinery. Mortise and Tenon construction. Windsor legs with a solid back rest. 

Glue and fine fit joinery. We minimize the use of fasteners in all of our hand made furniture.
